Our Approach

Effective liaison with key role players during a relief operation is critical. The international experience of Reed, Inc. includes communicating with senior government officials, international development finance institutions, and regional organizations such as the African Union. Communicating with the host government requires respect for local customs and observance of the proper procedures established by the ruling government.

A communications infrastructure is vital to all Command and Control aspects of a relief operation. Reed has the capabilities to quickly mobilize resources, staff, as well as equipment, and to support rapid deployment. A Command and Control post or Operations Room would be immediately established, fully equipped, and staffed.

Reed’s construction capabilities provide its highly skilled staff the flexibility to assist with immediate minor construction tasks in support of the overall humanitarian assistance mission.

Post-assessments are routinely executed to provide the client with an objective analysis of what aspects of the operation were successfully executed and where improvements are required. This would typically provide the host government with analytical data needed to determine whether any systemic improvements should be made to better prepare for potential future relief projects.
